American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position in Oklahoma City, working night shifts with required PALS certification and a minimum of one year of experience.

• Pediatric ICU (PICU) setting within an inpatient hospital environment
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
• 13-week contract
• CVICU and NICU experience is preferred
• Level 1 trauma experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license
• Current BLS and PALS certifications issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required; all certifications must be AHA-issued
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Level 1 experience required
• Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration
• Proficiency in nursing theory, clinical techniques, IV therapy, and medication administration

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex under general supervision
• Responsibilities include monitoring physiological data, administering medications, regulating IV infusions and blood products, documenting patient responses, and educating patients and families on care plans and hospital procedures
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Previously placed travelers must have a 6-month separation period after completing 26 weeks (one contract plus one extension) before being eligible to apply again
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must be completed promptly and by the required deadline — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
