American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Wound Care position at an acute care hospital in Apple Valley, CA, requiring wound care certification and a minimum of 2 years of hospital experience.

• Acute care hospital setting with 212 staffed beds
• Wound Care unit
• 8-hour day shifts, running 11:00–23:30
• Block schedule runs Thursday through Saturday, with flexibility Monday through Saturday considered; no Sundays
• No on-call requirements
• Floating between all facilities within California is expected and required
• Epic EMR used; experience is required
• Free parking available on-site

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (pending licenses not accepted)
• Active BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Wound Care Certification (WCON or equivalent) required
• Minimum 2 years of hospital experience required (hard stop); first-time travelers considered with 5+ years of experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• All listed wound care skills are required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Local candidates are welcome to apply; candidates within a 50-mile radius may be subject to a different pay rate
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler, and must reside more than 50 miles from this facility
• RNs wear navy blue scrubs
• Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be accommodated
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; post-submission RTO requests may be denied
• Refusal to float between facilities within the state may result in assignment termination
