American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Acute Dialysis position at a Level I Trauma, academic teaching hospital in New Mexico, with on-call responsibilities and every-other-weekend requirements.

Details

• Acute inpatient dialysis unit within a Level I Trauma, Children's, and academic teaching hospital with 554 staffed beds
• Five-bay dialysis unit treating up to five patients per shift across three shifts daily (occasionally four depending on census)
• Approximately 13–15 patients treated daily in the unit, plus 2–4 bedside treatments
• Responsible for managing peritoneal dialysis for hospitalized patients
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• On-call required for night and Sunday emergent dialysis coverage
• Charting in Cerner
• Black scrubs required; not provided by the facility
• Free parking available

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license; pending license accepted
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required; RQI certifications are not accepted
• Minimum 1 year of dialysis RN experience required
• COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with a completed exemption form signed by a provider

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• RTO requests exceeding 7 days require prior approval; all scheduling requests should be submitted upfront
• A 6-month break is required for travelers who have completed 4 consecutive assignments or reached the one-year mark at this facility, whichever comes first
