American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an IV Infusion Room position requiring ambulatory chemo experience, chemo certification, and an active MA RN license.

• Hospital-based IV Infusion Room setting
• Functions as both an ambulatory infusion unit and the PICC and Midline team for the hospital
• Patient care involves biologics, chemotherapy, blood products, therapeutic phlebotomies, and a variety of infusion therapies
• Venous access experience required with Ports, PIVs, and ultrasound-guided PIVs
• Epic EMR — experience required
• 8-hour day shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• 32 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• May cover shifts in the oncology unit as needed

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification required
• Chemo certification required
• BLS required
• Minimum 1 year of ambulatory chemotherapy nursing experience required
• Proficiency with venous access including Ports, PIVs, and ultrasound-guided PIVs required
• Epic EMR experience required
• PICC and midline placement experience preferred
• PICC line certification from BARD preferred
• COVID vaccine (with booster) and flu vaccine required (medical exemptions accepted)

Additional Information

• Administer infusion therapies including biologics, chemotherapy, blood products, and therapeutic phlebotomies
• Provide PICC and midline placement and maintenance as part of the hospital's vascular access team
• Pass/fail ECG/Telemetry and Medication competency tests are administered via Zoom prior to the start of the assignment — one attempt only with an 85% passing score and no opportunity for remediation; a study guide will be provided
• Testing must be completed within 48 hours of offer
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Biweekly orientation schedule
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• All previous employees (travel, permanent, or per diem) at any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility must have a minimum 6-month break before returning
• Flu vaccine documentation required during flu season
