American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Long-Term Care position in Vestal, NY, requiring at least 1 year of LTC or related experience and an active NY RN license.

Details

• State/government-run long-term care facility offering rehabilitation therapies, skilled nursing, memory care, and wound care
• 300-bed facility with a patient ratio of 1:18–20
• Patient population includes individuals with Alzheimer's and dementia
• Day shift: 5x8-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 2:45 PM)
• Night shift (NOC) is available and is slower paced
• 4–5 days per week schedule
• Every other weekend required upon facility request
• Charting system: PointClickCare (PCC); prior experience not required
• 16-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY State RN license required; no license encumbrances or disciplinary actions allowed
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of LTC experience required; recent experience in rehab, med/surg, or hospital settings may also be considered
• Proof of NY RN license required for consideration

Additional Information

• No medication pass duties involved in this role
• Pre-assignment compliance process takes approximately 1.5–2 weeks
• Onboarding includes Relias learning modules, which must be completed no later than 3 days prior to the assignment start date
• Any time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration and will not be approved after an offer is extended
• Shift cannot be changed once an offer has been accepted
• Cannot take every holiday off; holiday coverage is expected
• Call-outs require more than 24 hours advance notice
• Scrub color: any solid color; closed-toe shoes required
