Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-volume, high-acuity Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring at least 1 year of cardiac or critical care experience and VA or compact licensure.

Details

• High-volume, high-acuity Cardiac Cath Lab unit operating 3 newly renovated labs with 12–18 cases per day
• Performs a wide range of procedures including TAVRs, Watchman, CardiomEMS, carotids, Impella, CTO, peripherals, TEVARs/EVARs, and STEMI interventions
• Unit takes STEMI call
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Role involves circulating and monitoring responsibilities
• Equipment includes Philips imaging systems, Medrad injectors, and manifold for injections
• Documents using XPER and Epic
• Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts with start times of 7:00 or 8:00
• Rotating on-call hours required for after-hours, weekends, and holiday coverage
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including medical assignments and ED (medical holds)
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of cardiac or critical care experience required
• Experience in cardiac cath and/or interventional radiology (IR) preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
