American Traveler is seeking an experienced EP Lab RN for a 13-week contract at a Level II Trauma Center, with required scrub, ablation, and advanced EP procedure skills.

Details

• Work setting is a short-term acute care hospital with 431 staffed beds at a Level II Trauma Center
• Assignment is within the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
• Daily caseload ranges from 4 to 10 cases per day
• Schedule is days, working 4x10-hour shifts (7:00–17:30 or 8:00–18:30)
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Floating within scope is not required
• Block scheduling may be accommodated at the manager's discretion
• Epic is the primary charting system; Claris experience is also preferred
• Carto, St. Jude, and Spectranetics laser system experience preferred
• Scrubs are provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS required within 90 days of start
• CCI RCES or CCI RCIS certification preferred
• Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCT) credential preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, EP Lab, or Special Procedures area preferred; ICU or relevant healthcare experience may be considered
• Must be able to scrub
• Proficiency in scrubbing, monitoring, circulating, EKG interpretation, ablations, pacemaker/defibrillator device placements, rhythm interpretation, and Watchman procedure required
• EP procedure skills required: arrhythmia induction, baseline measurements, cardioversion, AICD insertion/programming, left atrial appendage (LAA) closure, and pacemaker insertion
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
