American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Transplant IMC position requiring a minimum of 2 years of IMC experience and transplant experience, working day shifts in an adult and geriatric post-operative care setting.

Details

• Hospital-based Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) setting
• Post-operative care for vascular, kidney, and liver transplant patients
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• 27-bed unit
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00–19:30
• Every third weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Floating required within specialty, to other units, and to sister facilities within scope
• No on-call responsibilities
• 12-week contract

Requirements

• Active Maryland (MD) or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of IMC experience required — this is a hard requirement
• Transplant nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Performs hemodynamic and neurovascular assessments, monitors surgical sites for signs of bleeding or infection, and evaluates graft function
• Monitors labs, urine output, fluid balance, and electrolytes
• Administers pain control, immunosuppressants, anticoagulants, and IV therapies
• Identifies and responds to complications including thrombosis, graft dysfunction, and rejection
• Navy blue scrubs required
