American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical Surgical Neuro unit position requiring stroke experience, BLS certification, and a MO or Compact RN license in hand.

Details

• Medical Surgical Neuro unit in an academic hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
• Floating required to other Med/Surg units
• Weekend and holiday work required (at least 50% of holidays during the contract)
• Cerner charting experience preferred but not required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license currently in hand — no pending licenses accepted
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Neuro or stroke experience required
• Minimum 2 years of overall nursing experience required
• Stroke experience required
• Must be able to ambulate, reach, and lift/move objects weighing 20 lbs or more
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of consideration

• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible to apply but may be considered at a reduced travel pay rate
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for full travel pay
• Position operates in a 24/7 healthcare environment; rotating shifts and work during inclement weather may be required
• Routine exposure to patients with contagious illnesses is expected in this role
