American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical - Neuro position requiring stroke experience and night shift availability.

Details

• 24-bed Neurosciences unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required to MS unit
• On-call responsibilities required
• At least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract must be worked
• Cerner charting experience preferred

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses)
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in a Med/Surg or Neuro specialty
• Stroke experience required
• Ability to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
• 2 professional references required for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced pay rate
• Candidates living within 50 miles are not eligible for the travel pay rate
• Any requested time off must be disclosed prior to acceptance of the position
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Regular exposure to patients with contagious illnesses is expected in this role
