American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a weekend-only night shift Emergency Dept position at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring Epic proficiency and a valid MO or compact RN license.

Details

• Work setting is a short-term acute care hospital with 68 total staffed beds
• Emergency Department with 8–10 beds serving a primary care, adult ED population
• Stabilization and transfer of pediatric patients is performed; this is not a trauma center
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Friday/Saturday/Sunday (weekend-only position)
• Every other weekend is required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating may be required to ICU and Med-Surg areas within scope of practice
• Charting is performed in Epic; experience is required
• TNCC and pediatric experience are preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact RN license valid in Missouri required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of RN emergency department experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and PALS
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care primarily to adult patients, with pediatric stabilization and transfer responsibilities
• Navy blue scrubs are required
• Parking is free in unrestricted employee spaces (yellow-painted lines) at the rear of the hospital
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Travelers may remain at BJC facilities for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Former permanent employees of BJC must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
