American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring Epic experience and a valid MO or compact RN license.

Details

• Works in the Emergency Department of a 68-bed short-term acute care hospital
• Primary care ED setting — adult focus with stabilization and transfer of pediatric patients; no trauma
• 8–10 bed/room ED with approximately 35 patient visits per day
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Weekend-only schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday every weekend
• Floating required within scope to ICU and Med/Surg areas as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Charts using Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact RN license valid in Missouri required at time of consideration; IL candidates may apply with a pending IL license
• Minimum 2 years of RN Emergency Department experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and PALS
• TNCC certification preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Pediatric nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

• Candidate must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may remain at BJC facilities for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Scrub color requirement: Navy Blue
• Free parking is available in unrestricted employee parking spaces (yellow-lined spaces at the back of the hospital)
