American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a high-volume ambulatory surgery center role requiring da Vinci robotic experience, a CA RN license, and a strong background in orthopedic and ophthalmic procedures.

Details

• High-volume ambulatory surgery center (ASC) setting with a fast-paced focus on efficiency and room readiness
• Operating Room unit handling a diverse surgical caseload including orthopedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, plastics, EENT, and vascular cases
• Primary role is relief coverage for staff breaks and support for prolonged or complex OR cases
• Day shift schedule, primarily 9:00 AM – 5:15 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
• No on-call or weekend requirements
• Epic EMR experience strongly preferred

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ambulatory/outpatient OR experience, specifically with cataracts, sports medicine, and arthroplasty
• Experience with da Vinci robotic surgical systems required
• Competency in moderate sedation required
• Strong background in joint procedures, arthroplasty, and sports medicine required
• Preferred experience in ophthalmic procedures including cataract, glaucoma, and retinal cases
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Proficiency in surgery center workflows, room set-up, and quick case transitions is essential
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• Former employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved during the contract
