American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring at least 2 years of recent Cath lab experience and the ability to take on-call shifts, including weekends.

Details

• Monday through Friday schedule with a minimum of 14 call days per month; call can include weekends and holidays
• Work in a hospital Cardiac Cath Lab with 3-4 procedure rooms covering Cath, Vascular, EP, and hybrid cases
• Typical caseload is 4–8 cardiac catheterizations per day, with add-ons as needed
• Cases include diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures
• Procedures performed include TAVR, PFO closures, Watchman, EKOs, atherectomy (CSI, RotaPro, laser), IVUS, iFR/FFR, angiography, and balloon/stenting
• Equipment includes balloon pump, Impella, and GE machines; one vascular lab uses Siemens equipment
• EMR is Epic (training available; prior experience preferred)
• Patient population includes adults (18–64) and geriatrics (65+)

Requirements

• Active RN license — must be a VA state license or a compact license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS required; NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience required
• Must be able to respond to STEMI callbacks within 30 minutes
• EP experience is a strong plus, though not required
• Proof of address (Driver's License, Voter Registration, federal tax return, Military Form 2058, or W-2) required for consideration
• Full SSN and date of birth (MM/DD) required for consideration
• 1 supervisory reference required for consideration
• Nursys license verification required for consideration
• Copy of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• RN will function in both scrub and circulator roles
• Performs hemodynamic monitoring and administers conscious sedation
• Participates in on-call system for emergency and urgent procedures
• EKG test administered on the first day of orientation; two attempts allowed, and a study guide will be provided
• A Dysrhythmia exam is also required; a study guide will be provided
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• A manager interview follows the clinical interview, which may extend the offer timeline
• BSN preferred but not required
