American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Psychiatric unit position at a non-profit community hospital in Yakima, WA, requiring at least 1 year of psych experience and CPI or MOAB certification.

Details

• Work in the Adult Psychiatric unit of a 226-bed non-profit community hospital with 30 dedicated psych beds
• Patient population includes adults with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, suicidal ideation, dementia with behaviors, and diabetes
• 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week
• Weekend rotation of 2 weekends per month
• No on-call requirements
• Floating may be required to Med/Surg units or to serve as a sitter
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license in Washington State or a Compact RN license
• Current BLS certification required
• CPI or MOAB certification required
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience required
• Additional Med/Surg or acute care experience preferred
• Proficiency in psychiatric assessments, de-escalation techniques, and physical restraint procedures
• Two professional references from a supervisor or above (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or equivalent); one reference accepted for initial consideration with a second required prior to start
