Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology/Hematology Charge RN for a specialized inpatient cancer unit, requiring a minimum of 3 years of oncology and charge nurse experience with Epic proficiency.

Details

• Inpatient oncology/hematology unit specializing in blood disorders and cancers including leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma
• Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Specialized treatments administered include chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and CAR T-cell therapy
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• Weekend rotation required
• Floating required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and Chemotherapy (CHEMO) certification
• Minimum 3 years of inpatient oncology nursing experience required
• Minimum 3 years of charge nurse experience required
• Inpatient oncology and chemotherapy administration experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Hematology experience preferred
• BMT, stem cell therapy, and active immunotherapy experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsible for leading daily unit operations including staffing coordination, patient flow, and staff mentoring
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and optimal patient outcomes
• Manages complex oncology treatments and monitors for associated complications and side effects
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Caribbean blue scrubs required; not provided by the unit
