American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring telemetry and IV start skills, with night shift availability and a minimum of 18 months of RN experience.

Details

• Hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit setting
• Patient population is primarily medical cases including COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, COVID-19, chest pain, and small bowel obstruction, with a small daily surgical caseload (approximately 1–3 post-surgical cases) including gastric sleeve, gastric bypass, colectomy, mastectomy, appendectomy, and cholecystectomy
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Telemetry monitoring and IV start skills required
• Cerner EMR — experience required
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (18:00–06:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required
• Local candidates are not accepted for this position

Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA and RQI formats accepted)
• Minimum 18 months to 2 years of RN experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• IV start proficiency required
• Cerner charting experience required
• Nursing degree from a program accredited by ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduation required
• Indiana RN license holders are not eligible for this position — this restriction does not apply to Periop/OR, Allied, or Ambulatory RN travelers
