Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a Level I facility, caring for boarded ED patients in an acute care setting with day shift scheduling.

Details

• Acute care Med/Surg Tele unit within a Level I facility
• Primarily assigned to care for patients admitted and awaiting bed availability from the ED, in a designated area or hallway setting
• May be utilized in a general acute care area when no ED-boarded patients require coverage
• Day shift: 7:15 AM – 7:15 PM (3x12-hour shifts)
• Every other weekend required, with some holiday coverage
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• Block scheduling can be accommodated

Requirements

• Active RN license — Tennessee or Compact state license required; pending licenses not accepted
• Current ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care and/or Med/Surg Tele nursing experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• PDF copies of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

• First-time travelers may be considered depending on previous clinical experience
• Local candidates within a 25-mile radius of the facility may be considered on a case-by-case basis
