American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital, requiring at least 2 years of MS/Tele experience and active Epic proficiency.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 733 staffed beds, operating as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within scope may be required between like units or to a sister campus depending on assignment
• Charting performed in Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Pre-start orientation modules are required (approximately 4–10 hours)
• Scrub color requirement: royal blue and white
• Only 1 holiday off can be approved per contract
• RTO is permitted at the manager's discretion, up to a maximum of 4 days
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning in a travel capacity
• Night shift travelers may extend up to two times before needing to be away for at least 6 months prior to returning
