American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Massena, NY, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and an active NY RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes COPD, pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, chest pain rule-out, CVA, seizure disorders, and substance withdrawal
• Patient ratios: 1:6 on days, 1:7 on nights, and 1:8 on weekends
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Epic EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management, and peripheral IV insertion and maintenance
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), and non-invasive airway management
• Familiarity with isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Experience utilizing Rapid Response and Code teams
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Any color nursing uniform is acceptable
