American Traveler is seeking an experienced IR RN for a hospital-based Interventional Radiology position in Sacramento, CA, requiring a CA RN license and at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Interventional Radiology (IR) unit
• Role includes partial responsibility in a recovery room setting for patients recovering from deep organ biopsies and angiography cases
• Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• On-call required once per week and every 5th weekend
• Rotating weekend shifts required
• Operates complex stationary and mobile diagnostic imaging equipment

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of recent, relevant IR nursing experience required
• IR or Cath Lab experience preferred
• PACU or recovery experience with deep organ biopsies and angiography cases highly preferred
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Assists physicians with diagnostic and guidance imaging during invasive procedures
• Prepares patients for procedures and provides education on medications, contrast media, and associated biological effects
• Ensures routine and priority tasks are completed within established departmental timeframes
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year to be eligible as a traveler
• Candidates must reside beyond a 50-mile radius from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
• Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved for the duration of the contract
