American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy Lab position in Golden, CO, requiring at least 1 year of GI/Endoscopy experience and hands-on proficiency with the technical components of GI equipment.

Details

• Located in the Endoscopy Lab of an acute care hospital in Golden, CO
• Cares for patients undergoing endoscopic and/or invasive procedures, with or without sedation
• 4x9 day/evening shift schedule, 36 hours per week
• Weekday and weekend on-call required
• Weekend availability required
• Floating may be required to other departments within the Peri-Operative umbrella and occasionally to other nursing units based on business need
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand (compact license must be transferred to CO within 60 days of start)
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required; must not expire prior to start date
• Minimum 1 year of GI/Endoscopy RN experience required
• Must be proficient in performing the tech/scope-handling (technician) portion of GI procedures
• BSN from an accredited institution preferred
• Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for nursing care and patient safety during endoscopic and invasive procedures, including pre-procedure assessment, plan of care development, and ongoing patient monitoring
• Collaborates with the Pre-operative care RN to assess holistic patient needs and procedure requirements
• Supports patient and family education, comfort, and reassurance throughout the procedure process
• Applies aseptic technique and monitors surgical team compliance, initiating corrective action when breaks occur
• Assists with documentation of equipment use and supply consumption for accurate charging and inventory management
• Permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• 2 references required for consideration
