American Traveler is hiring a Wound Care RN for an acute care hospital in Apple Valley, CA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of hospital experience and an active Wound Care certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with a 212-bed facility
• Assignment in the Wound Care unit
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (11:00–23:30)
• Block schedule Monday–Wednesday, with flexibility Monday–Saturday considered; no Sundays
• Scheduling requests based on outside employment will not be accommodated
• No on-call requirements
• Charting via Epic (required)
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination
• Free on-site parking

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required; pending licenses not accepted
• Active RN license must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of hospital experience required (hard stop)
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Wound Care Certification (WOCN) required
• Epic EMR experience required
• All wound care skills listed in the job description are required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered with 5+ years of experience
• RNs are required to wear navy blue scrubs
• Local candidates within 50 miles are welcome to apply
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; post-offer RTO requests may be denied
• Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
