Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Hospice RN for a home-based travel nursing position covering the Arlington, VA territory, with geriatric end-of-life care experience and a valid VA or compact RN license required.

Details

• Home hospice setting serving patients across a territory of up to 60 miles from the hub/office in the Arlington, VA area
• Geriatric patient population receiving end-of-life/hospice care
• Average caseload of 5–7 patients per day
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• 40-hour work week
• No on-call requirements
• EMR: Netsmart
• iPad provided for documentation purposes
• Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
• Local candidates are accepted and eligible for travel rate

Requirements

• Active RN license (VA or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent hospice nursing experience
• Ability to travel and work flexibly across a broad geographic territory

Additional Information

• Provide in-home hospice and palliative nursing care to geriatric patients at end of life
• Timely documentation and communication are expected
• Flexibility with territory coverage is required
• Scrubs required in any color; jeans are not permitted
• Personal cell phone use is not permitted on assignment; an iPad will be provided
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
• All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
