Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) position requiring Epic EMR proficiency and the ability to float between units at a hospital system in South Carolina.

Details

• LTAC unit within a hospital that also includes a 12-bed ICU and 31-bed Med/Surg unit, with staff working across both units as needed
• Patient population includes adults (18+) with diagnoses such as vent weaning, wound care, spinal cord injury, trach, and PEG
• Charting is performed in Epic EMR
• Omnicell medication dispensing system is in use
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (1900–0730)
• Every other weekend coverage required, subject to change based on unit needs
• Floating to other units and/or campuses within the health system is required based on census needs; staff will only float to units where they are qualified and competencies are documented

Requirements

• Active RN license in South Carolina (or a compact license with SC privileges)
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 1 year of recent LTAC or relevant specialty experience
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Social Security Number and Driver's License required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered depending on specialty experience
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible for this position; candidates under 50 miles are not eligible
• Candidates must reside 100+ miles from all Prisma Health facilities to qualify at the standard travel rate; those between 50–99.9 miles may be considered at a reduced rate
