Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical/Surgical unit position requiring at least 1 year of experience, an active NM or compact RN license, and the ability to work day shifts with weekend coverage.

Details

• 13-week travel assignment at a hospital Medical/Surgical unit in New Mexico
• 32-bed Medical/Surgical unit
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM), with a choice of 36 or 48 hours per week
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
• Floating required within scope of practice
• No on-call requirements
• Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis
• EMR: Epic (experience preferred)

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required; CPI certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Scrubs may be any color, provided they do not display a hospital logo
• Travel pairs or groups will not be considered
