American Traveler is hiring an experienced Charge RN for a Med/Surg Orthopedics (Post Surgical) Night Shift position in Maine, requiring an active ME or compact RN license and charge nurse experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Orthopedics unit (C3) within a hospital setting, focused on post-surgical patient care
• Responsibilities include medical surgical and post-surgical patient coverage
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a, 4x12-hour shifts
• Charge RN role — candidates must be willing and able to work in a charge capacity
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Maine (ME) or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Demonstrated competency in IV medication administration, IV therapy, and blood/blood component administration
• Demonstrated competency in restraint application, seclusion implementation, monitoring, and care for patients in restraint or seclusion
• Clean license with no disciplinary actions; clear background check required
• No previous employment with this facility

Additional Information

• Responsible for assessing patients on admission and throughout their stay, incorporating patients and caregivers into plan of care development and updates
• Delivers both direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all areas of the post-surgical unit
