Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery Birth Center position requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience with strong clinical skills including C-section circulation and fetal monitoring on 12-hour night shifts.

Details

• Work in a 20-bed Birth Center with 12 L&D rooms and 8 PP/AP beds (including 3 OB/ED rooms and 2 ORs), supported by a 6-bed Level II NICU on site
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Patient population includes laboring, antepartum, and postpartum mothers and newborns
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
• A Scrub Tech is always present on site; scrub-trained RNs may occasionally be used for sick call coverage

Requirements

• Active WA or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
• Must be proficient in cervical exams, antepartum and labor care, amnio infusions, epidural assistance, fetal monitoring, IV placement, and Pitocin administration
• Must be able to circulate C-sections
• Baby catching/receiving required; APGAR scoring and breastfeeding knowledge required
• Comfort with all aspects of postpartum care from transition through discharge for both mom and baby strongly preferred
• At least one supervisor-level reference (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or above) required for consideration; a second reference will be needed prior to start

• Multilingual skills (Russian and/or Spanish) are preferred given the facility's patient population
• Teal scrubs are provided
• Scrub tech experience is a plus but not required
