American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Nurse Navigator for a Pediatric Oncology Solid Tumor position at an acute care cancer institute, requiring a valid MA RN license and pediatric oncology experience.

Details

• Outpatient clinic setting within an acute care cancer institute
• Nurse Navigator role within a Pediatric Oncology - Solid Tumor unit
• Clinic serves approximately 75–90 patients daily
• No patient ratio assigned; role is navigation-focused rather than bedside
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• Block scheduling is not available
• 20-week contract
• Local candidates are welcome; no radius restriction applies
• Charting performed in Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active MA RN license currently in hand; pending licenses will not be accepted
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Pediatric oncology experience required
• Current PALS certification required
• APHON chemo/bio provider certification preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Chemo administration experience preferred
• COVID vaccination and booster required — no exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include coordination of care, telephone triage and symptom management, patient education, and hands-on clinical skills such as immunizations, dressing changes, and NGT placement
• Role is outpatient and navigation-focused, supporting pediatric solid tumor oncology patients through their care journey
• Scrub color: any solid color
• Parking is available on-site at a cost of $13 per day
• First-time travelers will be considered, though candidates with prior travel experience are preferred
• Any time off requests should be submitted at the time of initial consideration, as RTO may not be accommodated after signing
