Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Night position in New Mexico, welcoming first-time travelers with telemetry monitoring and a flexible 36 or 48-hour weekly schedule.

Details

• Med/Surg unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Patient population includes stroke and post-surgical patients
• Telemetry central monitoring is available 24/7 — nurses are not required to independently interpret dysrhythmias
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
• Floating is required
• Weekend shifts required as needed
• Epic EMR experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active NM RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups will be accepted
• Up to 3 days of RTO may be approved; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Scrubs of any solid color are acceptable — no logos permitted
