Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Behavioral Health position in Idaho, requiring at least 1-2 years of psych nursing experience and an Idaho or compact RN license.

Details

• Behavioral Health unit within a hospital setting
• Serves a diverse patient population spanning infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active Idaho or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, CPI, and MAB
• Minimum 1-2 years of behavioral health / psychiatric nursing experience required
• Proficiency with electronic medical records software; Epic experience preferred
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with evolving patient safety requirements

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff members must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
• Travel pairs or groups will not be considered for this position
• First-time travelers should check position details for eligibility — 1-2 years of experience is required
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
