American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Psychiatric Unit position at a major academic medical center in Boston, MA, requiring an active MA RN license and at least 1 year of nursing experience.

Details

• 24-bed inpatient medical psychiatric unit treating patients with co-occurring psychiatric and medical conditions
• Rotating shift schedule combining days, evenings, and nights — approximately 50% of shifts will be evenings or nights
• 36 hours per week (three 12-hour shifts)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Epic used for charting
• IV therapy and phlebotomy skills preferred
• Psychiatric experience preferred (any amount)
• Medical/medicine nursing experience preferred (any amount)

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• BLS certification required — must be AHA only
• Active MA license must be in hand prior to start — proof of licensure required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration

• Flu vaccine is required — no religious or medical exemptions accepted
• Candidates with a permanent residence within 60 miles of the facility are considered local and will receive a reduced pay rate
