Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-acuity Med/Surg Tele position at an acute care hospital in Florida, requiring strong telemetry experience and a minimum of 2 years of RN experience.

Details

• Work in a mixed Med/Surg Telemetry unit at a 210-bed acute care hospital
• High-acuity patient population including total joint patients
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope
• Block scheduling is not available
• Charting is performed using Meditech
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Strong telemetry experience required
• Rapid Response Team experience required
• Total joints experience required
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 30 miles from the facility to be considered

Additional Information

• Must be available to complete a mandatory clinical orientation week of 5 shifts (approximately 36–40 hours)
• Online modules must be completed prior to the start date (allow at least 4 hours)
• No RTO permitted during the first or last week of the assignment
• Holiday coverage is required: if 1–2 holidays fall within the assignment, traveler must work 1 holiday eve and 1 holiday; if 3 holidays fall within the assignment, traveler must work 1 holiday eve and 2 holidays
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
• Local candidates are not eligible for this position
