American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at an acute care hospital in Florida, requiring a minimum of 2.5 years of ED experience and prior travel assignments.

• Work in the Emergency Department of a 210-bed acute care hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Charting via Meditech
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and PALS; TNCC preferred
• Minimum 2.5 years of ED experience required
• Minimum 1 year of neuro/stroke experience required
• Minimum of 2 prior travel assignments required
• Experience with Level 1 resuscitation patients required
• Must reside more than 30 miles from the facility
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care including management of Level 1 resuscitation patients
• Neuro/stroke patient experience will be utilized in this ED setting
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; no t-shirts, sweatshirts, or apparel with logos from other organizations
• Block scheduling requests considered on a case-by-case basis
• RTO is limited to no more than 10 days and requires an extension of 2 additional weeks to the assignment; no RTO during the first or last week
• All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial application
• Holiday coverage is required: if 1–2 holidays fall within the assignment, travelers must work 1 holiday eve and 1 holiday; if 3 holidays fall within the assignment, travelers must work 1 holiday eve and 2 holidays
