American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Interventional Radiology position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring at least 1 year of IR experience and AHA-issued certifications.

Details

• Interventional Radiology (VIR) unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes Neuro IR, Vascular IR, and General IR cases — experience in at least 2 of these areas is preferred
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma state license or eNLC compact license) currently in hand
• ADN from an accredited nursing program required; BSN from a board-approved program preferred
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS certification from the AHA required
• Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology nursing experience required
• All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, assisting physicians during procedures, and monitoring physiological data
• Delegates tasks to support staff and coordinates with interdisciplinary team members
• Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions
• BSN is preferred but not required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may only extend once, for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before being eligible for a subsequent contract
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screening, background check, medical requirements) must be completed promptly — the facility does not allow delayed start dates for non-compliant travelers
