American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Infusion/Outpatient Oncology position requiring an active DC RN license, chemotherapy certification, and at least one prior travel assignment.

Details

• Outpatient infusion center setting focused on oncology, including chemotherapy and biotherapy administration
• Preferred experience in bone marrow transplant (BMT) and inpatient oncology
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Required certifications: BLS, Chemotherapy ONS/ONCC
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Required skills: biotherapy, chemotherapy administration, IV therapy/infusions, medication administration, oncologic emergencies, IV push narcotic agents, isolation precautions, neutropenic precautions, and symptom management
• Preferred skills: phlebotomy and prior charge nurse experience
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• Role functions as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in an outpatient oncology (Lombardi) infusion setting
• Flu vaccine required
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
• All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial application
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
