American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ED Hold position that also requires flexibility to float to Med/Surg Telemetry, with a CA RN license and minimum 2 years of ED experience required.

Details

• ED Hold position within a hospital emergency department setting
• Required to float to Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) when not utilized in ED Hold
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00–19:30
• Weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirement
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Must be willing and able to float to MS/Tele
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include thorough patient assessment documentation, clinical procedures (IV, Foley, dressings), patient and family education, telemetry monitoring, IV and ventilator management, and safe medication administration
• Expected to recognize and respond to changes in patient condition and act as a patient advocate
• Practice is grounded in evidence-based care with knowledge of pathophysiology, pharmacology, and regulatory standards
• Only one holiday RTO request will be approved for the duration of the contract
