American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week travel contract requiring a CA RN license, 2 years of ED experience, and willingness to float to Med/Surg Telemetry when not utilized in ED Hold.

Details

• Emergency Department (ED Hold) position at a hospital, with required floating to Med/Surg Telemetry when not utilized in the ED
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirement
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Must be willing to float to Med/Surg Telemetry
• Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
• Candidates must reside beyond a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rates

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include thorough clinical documentation, performing procedures (IV placement, Foley catheterization, wound dressings), telemetry monitoring, ventilator management, and safe medication administration
• Expected to recognize changes in patient condition, serve as a patient advocate, and report errors and near-misses
• Only one holiday RTO request will be approved for the duration of the contract
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
