Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift travel contract requiring CA licensure, 2 years of ED experience, and willingness to float to MS/Tele when not utilized in ED Hold.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital Emergency Department (ED Hold position)
• Floating to Med/Surg (MS) and Telemetry (Tele) units is required when not utilized in ED Hold
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation is required
• No on-call requirement
• Contract length is 13 weeks

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Must be willing and able to float to MS/Tele units
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evidence-based patient assessments, clinical procedures (IV, Foley, dressings), medication administration, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management
• Candidate is expected to recognize and respond to changes in patient condition and serve as a patient advocate
• Thorough and accurate clinical documentation is expected
• Only one holiday RTO request will be approved for this assignment
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
