American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Oncology (Bloomberg 11 South) position requiring APHON chemo/biotherapy certification and a minimum of 2 years of pediatric IMC/PICU experience.

Details

• 20-bed Hematology, Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplant unit (Bloomberg 11 South)
• All IMC-level beds
• Pediatric oncology patient population ranging from newborn to 25 years of age
• Diagnoses include solid tumors, leukemia/hematologic malignancies, blood/bone marrow transplant, infusion therapy (biotherapy/chemotherapy), oncology acute care, and cancer clinical trials
• Unit may care for general medical-surgical patients when other units reach capacity
• Rotating 12-hour shifts covering both day (7A) and night (7P) schedules
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities for travelers
• Uses Epic Ambulatory and Epic Beacon modules

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• APHON chemo/biotherapy provider course certificate required
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric IMC or PICU experience required
• Experience in a facility with 500+ beds required
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric hematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplant patients
• Administer biotherapy and chemotherapy infusions as part of routine patient care
• Supports cancer clinical trial patients as needed
• Holiday coverage required on an every-other basis as determined by unit need
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Travel experience preferred
