American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN First Assist (RNFA) for a 13-week Operating Room assignment at a Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital, requiring robotics, urology, and thoracic experience.

Details

• 30-bed adult Operating Room unit
• Schedule options: 4x10-hour shifts (0645–1715) or 3x12-hour shifts (0645–1915)
• On-call required on a rotating self-scheduled basis, including some weeknights and weekends
• Robotics, urology, and thoracic procedures performed; general OR experience preferred
• Charting via Cerner
• Floating within scope is not required
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated

Requirements

• Active WV or Compact RN license required; candidates may be submitted with a pending license but must have an active license prior to start
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Hands-on experience with robotics, urology, and thoracic procedures required
• RNFA credentialing through the facility's Medical Affairs department required prior to start — this process typically takes 30–60 days, so candidates must have a flexible start date within that window
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• Two manager or charge nurse references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
