Description

American Traveler is seeking a Chemo-Certified Oncology RN for an outpatient infusion clinic position requiring a minimum of 2 years of oncology-specific experience and an active ONS Chemo/Bio card.

Details

• Outpatient oncology infusion clinic setting serving adult patients (18+) with hematology and medical oncology diagnoses
• Unit features 10 infusion chairs
• Patient ratio is 1:5
• Day shift schedule: 8-hour shifts, 7:45 AM – 5:15 PM, Monday through Friday
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float may be required between two clinic locations approximately 14 miles apart (20-minute drive)
• Uses Epic EMR, Pyxis, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams
• Ambulatory infusion pumps used on the unit
• 13-week contract minimum; longer contracts may be available

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS and ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Card (ONS Chemo/Bio Card)
• Minimum of 2 years of oncology-specific nursing experience
• Chemotherapy administration experience required
• Central line experience required
• OCN certification preferred

Additional Information

• Pharmacy mixing techs handle all chemotherapy mixing — nurses focus on administration and patient care
• Orientation is approximately 8 hours and varies by skill level; hospital orientation occurs in week one and requires availability for classes each day
• Pre-shift COVID screening is required per facility policy
• Navy blue scrubs required; not provided by the facility
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• No RTO is permitted after booking; any call-offs or additional time-off requests on the unit may result in contract cancellation
