American Traveler is hiring a Cardiovascular OR Certified Surgical Tech (CST) for a 13-week travel contract in a high-volume cardiac surgery program requiring at least 1 year of experience and a valid CST certification.

Details

• Work setting is an inpatient cardiovascular OR within a large cardiac surgery program
• Unit operates 8 cardiac ORs with 7 cardiac surgeons performing 9–16 cases per operative day and 2,000+ cardiac cases annually
• Case types include open and robotic cardiac surgery (Da Vinci Xi and DV5), heart failure, and heart transplant
• Typical OR team per case consists of 1 First Assistant, 1 CST, 1 Heart Holder RN, and 1 Circulator (a First Assistant may be added when vein harvest is needed from both femoral and radial sites)
• Schedule is 40 hours per week with rotating days based on an 8-week schedule
• Shift hours are 06:45–17:15
• On-call is required: 10 call shifts per 8-week schedule, with each call shift being 12 hours

Requirements

• Active Tennessee (TN) or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Valid CST certification required
• BLS certification required (must be AHA-issued)
• Minimum 1 year of CVOR/cardiovascular OR scrub experience required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
• Driver's License required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

• Local candidates are accepted; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be eligible only at a reduced pay rate
