Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN for a travel assignment at a Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Work setting is a 637-bed Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital CVOR
• 28 OR rooms with an average daily census of 50–75
• Patient population includes orthopedic/sports (limited total joints), minimally invasive arthroscopic, laparoscopic, robotic, general, GYN, urology, and plastics cases
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (11:00–23:30)
• On-call required: 3 weeknight call shifts per 4-week schedule and 2 twenty-four-hour weekend call shifts per month (5 total call shifts per cycle)
• Weekends required on an as-needed basis
• Floating within the hospital to other specialties during slow periods; no floating to sister hospitals
• Charting is done in Epic (experience preferred but not required)

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or compact license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR RN experience required
• At least 2 travel assignments beyond initial hospital employment required
• COVID vaccination and booster required — no exceptions

Additional Information

• High-acuity academic environment with a very busy surgical volume
• Experience with neuro, spine, thoracic, and vascular cases is a plus
• Teaching hospital and trauma hospital experience preferred
• Scrubs are provided for OR personnel (any color)
• RTO cannot be requested during orientation week and should otherwise be kept to a minimum; max 1 week of RTO
• Former UW staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 18 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
