American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Tech (CST) for a 13-week travel contract in a high-volume OR setting, requiring NBSTSA certification and a minimum of 18 months of scrub experience.

Details

• 13-week travel contract at a hospital-based OR
• Assignment in the CVOR unit performing all surgical specialties except transplant within a 13-room OR
• Utilizes 2 Xi DaVinci robotic surgery systems
• Cerner EMR charting required
• Floating to the General OR is required
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or RQI accepted, must be current) and NBSTSA
• Minimum 18 months to 2 years of CVOR scrub experience required
• Scrubbing skills required
• Cerner charting experience required
• Graduation from a nursing/surgical technology program accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation

• Candidates must be available to float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility
• Must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Up to 5 days of RTO may be approved for this assignment
• Former permanent or PRN employees of IU Health must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
• IN-licensed travelers are eligible for this Periop/OR position
