Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN First Assistant (RNFA) or Surgical Technologist First Assistant (STFA) with CVOR experience and proficient endoscopic vein harvesting skills for a hospital OR setting in Michigan.

Details

• Hospital OR setting with a dedicated RNFA/STFA role
• Primary focus on cardiovascular OR (CVOR) cases with proficient endoscopic vein harvesting required
• Float coverage across General OR departments including orthopedic, vascular, GYN, thoracic, and general surgeries when not in CVOR
• Shift options: 8-hour days (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) or 10-hour days (7:00 AM–5:30 PM)
• 40 hours per week
• Call requirement of 12–18 days per month
• 2–3 weekends per month required
• Scrub duties required

Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
• Current RNFA certification required; STFA candidates will also be considered
• Proficient endoscopic vein harvesting skills required (3s or 4s in vein harvesting and cardiac areas)
• CVOR experience required
• 5 years of experience strongly preferred
• Previous travel experience strongly preferred
• Must be able to work independently in CVOR

• Performs first assist duties in CVOR, including independent endoscopic vein harvesting
• Provides general OR first assist coverage across ortho, vascular, GYN, thoracic, and general surgery when cardiac cases are not scheduled
• STFA candidates are accepted and considered at a different rate
