American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) RN/Tech for a 13-week travel contract in Michigan, requiring at least 2 years of CVOR scrub experience and prior travel experience.

Details

• Large academic medical center setting specializing in high-acuity cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgery
• Adult patient population including complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases
• Cardiac procedures include CABG, LVAD/RVAD, heart transplant, aortic aneurysm repair, MVR, AVR, ECMO, MAZE, and aortic balloon/Impella device management
• Thoracic procedures include lung and esophageal transplants, VATS wedge resection, VATS/open lobectomy, esophagectomy, bronchoscopy, EGD, mediastinal mass removal, and hiatal hernia repair (laparoscopic and open)
• Vascular procedures include AAA, EVAR, carotid endarterectomy, AV fistulas, fem-distal bypass, fem-fem bypass, SMA bypass, and vein stripping/ablation
• Rotating day/evening shift schedule: 2x8-hour shifts (06:30–14:30 or 14:30–22:30) and 2x12-hour shifts (06:30–18:30 or 10:30–22:30) per week
• Shift rotation between days and evenings is required
• Call requirements: 2–4 weeknight call shifts and 1–2 weekend call shifts per 4-week schedule
• Weekend call is structured as either Friday and Saturday nights only, or Saturday and Sunday days only — no single call shift exceeds 12 hours

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR scrub tech/RN experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Cardiac scrubbing proficiency required
• Flu vaccination required — no exemptions accepted
