Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PICU position requiring at least 18 months of pediatric experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Large academic hospital PICU setting
• Pediatric patient population ranging from infants up to 25 years of age
• Specializes in epilepsy monitoring and care requiring inotrope management
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
• Every other holiday coverage is required

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• EKG/ECG rhythm recognition experience required
• Experience with inotropes required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 18 months of permanent (non-travel) experience in the PICU or pediatric specialty required prior to any travel experience
• Minimum 18 months of recent pediatric experience required (travel experience accepted)
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides specialized nursing care to pediatric patients, including those requiring epilepsy monitoring and inotrope management
• ECG rhythm recognition assessment and safeMedicate assessment are completed during orientation, and acceptable scores on both are required to continue
• Travelers may not exceed 18 consecutive months at any Cleveland Clinic location, and must wait a minimum of 6 months before beginning another assignment at any Cleveland Clinic location
