American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a short-term acute care hospital, with Epic experience required and a focus on orthopedic, urology, and plastics post-surgical patients.

• Short-term acute care hospital setting on a Med/Surg unit with 41 beds
• Patient population includes short-stay orthopedic (primarily joint replacement), urology, and plastics surgery patients
• Epic EMR — experience required
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• On-call is required for this position
• Floating within the Med/Surg unit required to meet facility needs
• Free employee parking available on-site

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or Compact RN license valid in Missouri — required at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Orthopedic post-surgical or plastics post-surgical experience required (one or the other; both not necessary)
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Navy scrubs required (top, jacket, and bottom)
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may work at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required before returning
• Illinois-licensed candidates may be submitted with a pending IL license — please note this when applying
