American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU travel assignment at an academic medical center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Academic medical center setting in Shreveport, LA
• Neuro ICU unit with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio and an average daily census of 10
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Travelers may be floated to other ICUs when the Neuro ICU is overstaffed or another ICU is critically understaffed
• Epic EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active LA or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications (AHA): BLS, ACLS, and CPI
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Upon accepting an assignment, the unit manager may designate you to an Emergency Team with an expectation to remain at the facility or serve on a relief team during emergency events
• Candidates must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process
• All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
